On a very windy but fortunately dry night, carol singers toured the village, singing in a number of strategic places whilst the children collected money for charity. A few days previously, volunteers met to collect the traditional holly and ivy from the churchyard, to make Christmas garlands with which to decorate many telephone poles around the village.   a13.12.12.11a   More pictures of these activities can be seen on the following pages, and excerpts from several of the carols can be heard.     a13.12.20.05a   a13.12.20.04a   a13.12.20.07a   a13.12.20.15a   a13.12.20.10a   a13.12.20.16a   a13.12.20.17a

As is the custom, the churchyard provided the materials for the holly and ivy decorations around the village. It was generally agreed that this year’s crop of holly berries is the best ever!
