These were the most lifelike scarecrows I came across! I thought the stuffed dog was particularly realistic.
Finally, the sad story of a real working scarecrow:
It stands near to the former Windmill and can be seen from the footpath to Culworth. It has become rather tattered with age and is far too busy keeping birds off the apple trees to join in the village competition……
