Christmas on Castle Green. 12th December 2021

Despite a rather bleak day, numbers of villagers turned up at Castle Green to enjoy stalls, games, entertainments, a prize draw and above all a visit on a tractor drawn sleigh by Father and Mother Christmas. As reported in the Village Newsletter “Over £1600 was raised for charity and special thanks were given to Caroline and Nick for putting it all together, Graham and Ryan for making the sleigh and bringing the magic for the children, Micaela for singing seasonal songs and Ian for bringing his fiddle to provide some late afternoon entertainment.”

As it grows dark, Micaela sings……

……and Ian plays……

…..to delight those who have faithfully remained until the end.

A lucky winner in the prize draw.

As the rain begins to fall in earnest, Parish Council Chairman Richard Fonge makes a closing speech thanking all the volunteers for their efforts and the villagers for attending.
