I am indebted to Graham Roberts for the following pictures of the “unveiling party”:
The usual photographer arrived rather late but Wisteria Cottage was aglow with Christmas decorations, as it is every year.
However, the late arrival was greeted with a cheery smile (and an instruction to go home and get to bed!)
A few more photographs of Wisteria Cottage (recycled from previous Advent Calendar Window Events):
Wisteria Cottage in the Spring
Wisteria Cottage owner Cecil Walton outside the house with his motor cycle and side-car in the late 1920s or early 1930s
Cecil Walton’s daughter Edith (later Edith Parker) on the top step of the cottage with wartime evacuee Renee Barrett c1942. Cecil ran a motor cycle parts and fuel supply business from the garage adjoining the property.
Bell given to Sulgrave Church by Cecil Walton in 1932 in memory of his wife Cissie (with Wally the dog).

Another lovely evening and thank you for the pictures Graham, including one with Shrimp complete with dressing gown!
I’m afraid I was the guilty party, returning late from a wonderful performance of Messiah in Northampton Cathedral!
