Ursula Robbins of The Wool House, Little Street, celebrated her 90th birthday on February 18th. Ursula is a familiar daily sight to all villagers, making her numerous circuits of the village with her faithful trolley, pausing occasionally for a rest and cup of coffee at the Village Shop. Ursula’s late husband David was warden at Sulgrave Manor until his retirement in 1988. Many friends joined Ursula at the Wool House on Sunday afternoon for tea and a slice of the special birthday cake!

Thank you to everyone who came out in wind and rain to make such a special day for Mum. All the signatures in the card collected in The Village Shop are amazing, as were all her individual cards, presents and the many good wishes. My thanks go to the kindness of all those in Sulgrave, who keep an eye on my determined but vulnerable mother. Thank you so much.
CONGRATULATIONS URSULA . . .
What a pleasant event, sorry we couldn’t make it. Unfortunately, New Zealand is “a Bridge too far”.
Very best wishes …
