In fact, all of the windows at Harry’s Cottage are decorated for Christmas…….
Harry’s cottage in 1910…..not many cars…..
….in the 1960s…..one car, a mini belonging to Harry’s eldest son….
…..and a few more in December 2014.
So, who was the “Harry” of “Harry’s Cottage”. He was Harry Reynolds, a noted cricketer and cricket umpire and a member of Sulgrave Parish Council in the early 1970s. He can be seen in the next photograph with other members of the Council, discussing a planning application to convert the then Methodist Chapel into a dwelling (subsequently granted). Sadly, none of those in the picture is still with us.
