For many years Rectory Farm was lived in by farmer Eric Digwood.  A few years ago I received an email from Nigel Dawes of Abingdon, as follows:

Does anyone in Sulgrave remember Mr. Digwood (Eric I think) who farmed Rectory Farm? I worked for him as a young lad (16 years old) around 1960/61. I wonder what happened to him.

I remember he was a very kind and generous typical country gentleman.

I don’t have a photo of him, but attached is one of myself on “my” Massey Ferguson 35 tractor taken in the yard behind the house.

My family lived at the time in the Wool House, next door to Rectory Farm.

There were no responses to Nigel’s question and I would be very pleased to receive any information or photographs about Eric Digwood.

A hint of Spring maybe? The window must look lovely from the road?
