We have found the Hawkes gravestones in the churchyard and we believe that a Hawkes may have been a headmaster at the school at some time. We also understand that there may have been a Hawkes who had one of the farms around the village. Can you shed any further light on this. Do any of your records have any further details. It would be great to add some more detail onto the family tree and to fnd out more about what they actually did.
