Your website is tremendous. I'm a native of the village, born there in 1947 and left at the age of 20 when I joined the RAF. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. My e-mail address is tony.parker1@ntlworld.com.

Hi just found this site and lovely memories to read. I use to live in the village and my parents were active members in the church, Philip and Joan Bywater. I will look forward to hearing all the news on here.

To Colin Wootton, (Website Editor)

I am a great grand daughter the once Headmaster of Sulgrave, he being Albert Henry Smith, I have a photograph of him and his wife, plus their four daughters (Helen, Dora, Edith, and Lilian). The photograph was taken about 1913, if it is of any interest to you I can e-mail you a copy. Regards Jennifer Dancer

Hi David,

Nice to hear from you. There are a number of us “village elders” left who were around during those times. However, not everyone has access to the internet so I will pass on your memories the next time I meet up with them.

Best wishes.

Colin Wootton (Website Editor).

Having left the village at the age of 9 in 1952 and having attended Sulgrave school, being taught by Mrs walton and then Miss Victoria Cave it is wonderful to keep in touch with the village where I have always felt my roots really were.
I guess that probably few people if any will remember me and my brother Les, we lived at 12 Spinners Cottages, our surname is doyle but our mother was Joan Salisbury, we lived next door at that time to the Bransons and on the other side the Wottons.
My wife and I have recently visited the Star Inn for a meal, my Uncle Jack and Auntie Muriel ran it for many years, most of my family of that generation have now passed away but it very nice to keep in touch with the old place.

Hello
I stumbled onto your website quite by accident, and was fascinated. Every town should have such a site to preserve the past and share the present. Your photo galleries are just wonderful! If I should ever find myself in England, I'd love to wander through your lovely town!
