The Sulgrave Aunt Sally team gathered together at The Star during October to celebrate a reasonably good season with a traditional supper partly sponsored by those players who pay a penalty of £1 for a “Blob” (failing to score any dolls in a round). The team did quite well during the season which will ensure they remain in Division 3 of the Banbury and District League.

Star Players Tom Russell and Charlotte Cherry received prizes from Team Captain Richard Fonge for scoring a “six” – six Dolls consecutively brought down with 6 Sticks during a game.

Aunt Sally is a traditional Pub Game sponsored by Hook Norton Brewery and mainly played in the Midlands and South of England. The BANBURY AND DISTRICT League has over 60 teams arranged into 7 Divisions and The Star at Sulgrave is currently placed towards the centre of Division Three. Click here for the Division Table.
